Our Programs

Open Division is the recreational dance program at Engage Dance Academy, offering dance classes for children, teens, and adults ages 18 months and up. Our program includes ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and other styles designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced dancers. With a variety of class times available, students can enjoy quality dance training once or twice a week while building confidence, technique, and a love for dance.

Our Comp Crew program is an opportunity for dancers ages 9-18 to work together with professional-caliber choreographers to develop and compete in dances in a wide variety of genres, including ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, tap, and lyrical styles. Comp Crews compete at various competitions and conventions throughout the Chicagoland area.

Engage Dance Theatre is our pre-professional training program for dedicated dancers ages 6–20 who are passionate about advancing their technical skills and artistic growth. The program follows a progressive, curriculum-based syllabus designed to challenge dancers at every level while developing strong technique, artistry, and a thorough understanding of movement across multiple dance styles.

Throughout the year, dancers receive comprehensive training in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Body Conditioning, and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT). Advanced dancers also study Pointe, Classical Variations, and Pas de Deux, with Pas de Deux instruction led twice each month by guest gentlemen from the Milwaukee Ballet Company.

Our goal is to prepare dancers with the technical excellence, discipline, and versatility needed for collegiate dance programs, professional opportunities, and a lifelong appreciation of the art of dance.
